Loretta Vendetta

    Lets answer your questions.....

Q: What is this site about ?

A: This site collates existing news items about Westminster City Council and displays them in one place.

Q: Why ?

A: We think Westminster City Council has a dark side. It used to be a flagship council, however in recent years that has changed. This sites gives you the opportunity to read articles that other journalists have written about Westminster Council but all gathered together in one place. By doing so you'll get to see that WCC is not the council you once thought it was.

Q: So this site is not owned or run by Westminster City Council ?

A: Definitely not, nor do we proclaim to be anything to do with Westminster City Council. However we do have news items about Westminster Council - hence the website name.

Q: Who runs it ?

A: Loretta Vendetta

Q: Is that a real name ?

A: No, of course not. The name originally comes from a 10 part comic series called "V for Vendetta" by Alan Moore. In the story the lead character is out to expose the truth behind a fictitious government that is out of control. When in public he uses a "Guy Fawkes" mask to hide his identity - hence the logo on the site. There's some irony here because we consider WCC to have some of the characteristics of that fictitious government in the story. For the record we have none of the characteristics of "V" except the one of exposing the truth to the public.

A: And who is Loretta Vendetta ?

Q: She had the misfortune of working for WCC several years ago. It wasn't all bad, in fact this was a pretty good employer once. That's now changed because over the years the council became extremely arrogant in it's practices.

A: Who writes the articles.

Q: They are written by journalists and individuals on other websites - we only display them here in one place. However, we also display facts as well - such as those written by the Local Government Ombudsman.

A: Can authors submit articles.

Q: Yes this possible. Send us links to articles you have seen on the web.
